What We're<br>Stitching

Sandy...

has finally finished Rick's stocking designed by Liz.  The stitch guide was by Tony Minieri.  She used a lot of silk.  She also finished an Associated Talents needlepoint shop, which was a class she took at TNNA market in California.  She has had fun making a Halloween BOO canvas with a plaid background.  She used Rainbow Gallery's Sparkle Rays.  There will be another one using the new Kreinik Holographics.  The directions for these will be available during the Halloween Extravaganza in May.  Next up is the new Kelly Clark Cincinnati Santa.  She can't wait!

Pam...

is slowly stitching a Rebecca Wood stocking.  She thought this one for Mac was the last one, but we will need another one come July.  Pam is using Impressions and Kreinik for the cuff and then will start with other fibers for the body of the stocking.  There are so many fibers from which to choose!  She might even use wool for the Santa's coat.  We now have wonderful new Melissa Shirley stockings that might work for baby #3.

Dolores...

had a bumper crop of ornaments last year due to some enforced rest time.  She stitched several ornaments from Melissa Shirley, Rebecca, Kelly Clark and Needledeeva.  She also stitched two fall pieces from Mindy.  They are both finished as stand-ups.  hopefully, the thrid one will be finished by fall.  Dolores used Soy Luster, Burmilana and Kreinik on all of them.  A stocking by Rebecca is now finished - it will be ready for Christmas 2010.  With another arrival in August, it will be back to the roller bars.  Dolores also stitched three patriotic stars from Melissa Shirley.  The finisher put them on sticks and Dolores displayed them in a patriotic jar.  They were stitched using Shimmer and Splendor.  Her list of finished things is taking shape for 2010.  There is a small ornament by Collection of Design and also two carrots - one by Kathy Schenkel and the other by Associated Talents.  There will be more ornaments to come, plus a Kelly Clark piece with two Santas on it.  What fun!

Retta...

is doing a 13 count flowered piece by JW.  She is using Silk and Ivory and Vineyard Silk to basketweave this piece.  Retta does ornaments for her entire family for Christmas.  She is doing four Associated Talent mini stockings using Petite Sparkle Rays, Soy Luster, Kreinik and Splendor.  For her grandson Matt, she is stitching a little red wagon by Princess and Me.  She is using Neon Rays, Kreinik, Splendor and Petite Sparkle Rays to stitch some wonderful stitches like Jessicas and Scotch stitches.  Her granddaughters will be receiving gingerbread houses by Squiggie.  Some of the fibers she used are Burmilana, Snow, Impressions and Neon Rays+.

Sue...

is stitching Scarlet O'Hare to go with Rhett.  Needledeeva has cerated this pair in her own clever style.  She has used many new fibers and embellished them with a variety of clever stitches.  She always comes up with wonderful background stitches and these are no exception.  In addition, she is working on a canvas of row houses by Liz.  She is doing a variety of stitches using some of her favorite fibers, including Vineyard Silk, Burmilana and Splendor.

Judy...

is stitching a Halloween frog by Dream House Ventures using Fuzzy Stuff, Petite Very Velvet, Splendor and Kreinik.  She just finished two ornaments by Carol Dupree using lots of sparkle fibers.  Her next project is four stocking toppers by Associated Talents using Vineyard Silk and Kreinik.

Roberta...

is stiiching several Santas done by Petei and Kathy Schenkel.  She is the queen of glitz and is using the new Kreinik Holographic fibers.  They come in size 12 and also 1/16 ribbon.  The colors are absolutely beautiful and the effect is amazing.  Roberta is also stitching some Santas from Artist Collection.  Do we see a theme?  She continues to work on her Tony piece - the Peppermint Santa from Melissa Shirley.

Rachel...

is stitching Dede's coat for the black cat for Halloween using Petite Sparkle Rays and Snow.  She just finished two Easter eggs from Associated Talents.  They will be finished to stand on small feet.  They were very fun and quick projects.  The could have also been finished on sticks to put into a basket.

Margi...

is finishing a beautiful eagle belt designed by our in-house artist, Sig.  Her big project remains her Strictly Christmas stocking for her youngest child.  She is using many new stitches from her Jo Christiansen Needlepoint Book.  There will be lots of different threads in this stocking, making sure there is much glitter and sparkle.

Sig.....

is stitching Molineux/Shorebird's bunnies for his granddaughter.  It is on 13 count.  The background is being worked in celery Silk and Ivory.  The rabbits are highlighted in Neon Rays and Faux Fur.

Joanne

just finished an ornament that Sig designed in honor of her daughter's first house.  He used a holiday setting to frame the house and the ornament is just charming.  She used Water and Ice for the first time and just loved the way the shading shows through.  She is finishing two Kelly Clark pieves - a patchwork mini stocking and a patchwork mitten.  They are both on 13 count canvas.  She started them last summer on a trip to Utah and hopes to have them finished by the end of February.  Joanne fell in love with a green rooster by Bettiray.  It is perfect for ehr kitchen and wil lhopefully have it done by mid=March.  She is using Soy Luster (loves it), Mandarin Floss and Splendor.  Last, but not least, is her ornament for 2011 Ornament of the Month.  It is a mini stocking by Kathy Schenkel wiht a gingerbread doll tucked into it.  With all of this, she even has time for all of the finishing at The Top Drawer!
